A complete subframe bushing kit for the RX7 FC3S.
This kit includes:
- Main subframe bushings (2)
- Stop washer/mounting pin brace (2)
These bushings come standard in an 80A durometer hardness with powdercoated steel sections. For stiffer, softer, or custom color bushings, please email me.
These bushings feature a tighter tolerance fit to the chassis subframe pins compared to most aftermarket and OEM bushings. As well, the top of the main bushing flange makes full contact with the chassis, so the common problem of having uneven rear camber on each side is better combatted compared to OEM bushings.
These bushing flanges are 5mm thinner compared to OEM (same as the differential bushings), so you will need to use an aftermarket adjustable camber bar - the OEM one will be too long. With these bushings being 5mm thinner, they effectively lower the vehicles ride height by 5mm.
These bushings are a relatively tight interference fit into the FC3S's subframe - the reason for this is that the FC3S subframe is welded together, and the bushing bore's inner diameter varies. To ensure no movement, I made these a bit larger to achieve a solid fit. Will require a high quality rubber grease or dishsoap to help with installation - should not require a press.
Only sold as a kit, will not work with OEM stop washers!
PLEASE NOTE: Mazda made the FC subframe stop washers in 2 different styles - please check the last photos to see if you need:
STYLE 1: (angled pattern around small hole at end of brace, low bend angle, longer straight section)
OR
STYLE 2: (radius around small hole at end of brace, higher bend angle, shorter straight section)
